Dan Davis was born and raised in upstate New York. Upon completion of high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, Dan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in 1986 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 1993. He left the Air Force as a Major in June of 2001 after nearly 23 years of service. Dan came to the Lord at the age of 24. He and his wife, Judy, attended the Vineyard in the early nineties. He received a call to the ministry at this church just before leaving for another military assignment in California in 1995. While in California, Dan began attending Fuller Seminary. He finished his studies at Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA, in 2001, earning an M.A. in Biblical Studies. Dan then served as Administrative Pastor in a Vineyard church in Los Angeles for two years. In 2004, the Lord opened the door for Dan to return to this church as the Associate Pastor. He took over as Senior Pastor in May of 2006. Dan and Judy were married in 1983. They have two sons, Dan Jr. and Adam, and a daughter, Kayley. Dan loves most sports (especially basketball), spending time with his family, and reading.
Greg Perkins – Associate Pastor
Gregory T. Perkins was born in Brooklyn, New York and spent his early years there until his mother and step-father moved their family to Saginaw, Michigan, where he attended both junior and senior high school. Prior to graduating he signed up for the delayed entry program and subsequently enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In the autumn of 1984, just prior to leaving for boot-camp, he surrendered his life to Christ. Greg acknowledged and accepted his call to ministry in January 1987. Through the vehicle of the military God would later bless him to serve in various capacities under the covering of several denominations. In the summer of 2006 he retired from the Marine Corps after 22 years of faithful and honorable service to his country. Since becoming a member of the of the Vineyard, Greg has served as a member of the worship team; a nursery worker; a member of the men’s ministry leadership team; co-youth leader for Gideon’s Revival youth ministry; on the board of directors for StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries, and co-leader for Chosen, the VCF middle school youth ministry. Greg was elevated to the office of the Associate Pastor here at the Vineyard in 2009. He married the former Michelle L. Blakely on May 28, 1994. They have three daughters, Katitia, Deniece & Tiaira, and a son, Todd.
Rose Powers – Pastor of Benevolence
Rose Powers has been a member of this church since its inception in 1987. She was originally hired as a part-time secretary by the founding pastor, Jim Robb, who led her to the Lord. Rose then became the administrator when the church moved to its previous location in the Woodbridge Shopping Center in 1991. She became involved in the outreach ministry as people began coming to the church in need of financial assistance. In response to these needs, Rose first set up a food pantry then later started the StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries which provides a weekly dinner and other services for those in need. She is actively involved with other community and ministry organizations such as the Cooperative Council of Ministries, the Prince William County Drop-In Center, and the Homeless Prevention Network Council. Rose and her husband, Ken, were married in 1987. They have three children.
Christie Linser – Children’s Director
Christie Linser was born and raised in Fairfax County, VA, and upon completion of high school attended college in upstate New York. It was there in 1990, that the Lord touched her heart and she received Him through Campus Crusade for Christ Ministries. While at college, Christie met her husband, Sean. They were married in 1993 and now have 5 wonderful children – Ryan, Courtney, Tiffany, Megan and Ethan. They have attended the Vineyard since 1996 and served in various capacities; Christie specifically as a nursery worker, Sunday school teacher, dance team member, Co-Kinship leader and Women’s Ministry team Member. Christie stepped into the position of Children’s Director in August 2009.
Adam Davis – Administrator
Adam Davis was born in Orlando, FL and was raised throughout the United States as part of a military family. He and his family attended the Vineyard in the early 1990′s when his father was stationed at the Pentagon. Following his pastoral studies at Prairie Bible College, he returned to Northern Virginia, and to the Vineyard, in 2008 where his father serves as the Lead Pastor. Adam accepted the position of Administrator in the summer of 2011. He feels blessed to be using his administrative and organizational gifts to help facilitate the ministries of the church. Adam is also passionate about family relationships, intimate worship, and Biblical counseling. He loves basketball, music, and food! Adam is married with three fantastic kids.
Michelle L. Blakely-Perkins – Office Assistant
Michelle L. Blakely-Perkins was born in Tuskegee, Alabama. As a child her family moved to Saginaw, Michigan. Shortly after graduating from high school Michelle enlisted in the United States Navy. In 1990 she left active duty and joined the USNR and faithfully served until the summer of 2000. She has served as the Office Assistant since 2006 and as Administrator for StreetLight since 2007. Since becoming a member of the Vineyard in 2003, Michelle has served as a member of the sound team, multi-media team, children’s ministry and women’s ministry team. In addition, she has served alongside her husband Greg as the co-leader for the Gideon’s Revival youth ministry, and co-leader for Chosen, the Vineyard’s middle school student ministry. Michelle and Greg were married on May 28, 1994. They have three daughters, Katitia, Deniece, and Tiaira, and one son, Todd.
