Hello Pastor Dan Davis,
I am so glad to have visited your church website, and particularly listening to some of your series of sermons, especially this one on Sunday 29/04/2012 titled; Barriers to Being there.
I have been desiring to hear something like this and today and yesterday have been my luckiest days to have heard your message of hope to the world. My name is as indicated above, and i am the founding pastor of Grace Evangelistic Mission Church in Kenya.

Let me ask you a question, do you have branches in Kenya?
I look forward to hear more of your messages as i make sure i copy some for the church to listen. With your permission, i can set aside 30 minutes every Sunday morning for the church listen to your sermons.

May the Lord bless you.

Wow! I didn't get to hear Jennie, but after reading your blog, my only comment is in the form of a prayer. Father, help me understand that danger is always present, and know that it is through obedience to your word that I overcome my fears and find safety. Amen!

Heidi Baker refers to the way Jesus operated as <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fam2vZDka90" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">"Stopping for the one."</a> Jesus stopped for the one - the woman with the issue of blood, the dead girl, blind beggar Bartemeus. And me, too.

I guess when you are loved like that, and you realize how much you have been forgiven, and you really believe that, you are miserable unless you can love the one like He did. You are moved by compassion [not mere sympathy... but instead identifying with the suffering of another and eagerly desiring to alleviate that suffering], as Christ was.

Whenever I feel inconvenienced by someone else's problems I have to realize that it stems from my unbelief in the reality that the One loves me. I have to cry out, "Lord I believe, help my unbelief!" And when He does, I realize I'm on the right path... heading toward where I haven't been.

Well said Colin! We know that even Jesus on a few occasions was headed one place but was interrupted along the way, imagine what would have happened to the lady with the issue of blood if Jesus told her, "listen I don't have time for this, I'm on my way to raise this dead girl, back off".

Lord help us to: recognize, make room for, and be flexible for Divine interruptions.

Great "focus" -- not "resolution" -- for the year Mr. Wayne. I especially like the admonition from Eph 4:29. It's not just about our own self-control and sanctification. How often do we say things that aren't helpful for building others up? How different would the "climate" of our church body be if we truly focused on encouraging one another? That's certainly worthy of further consideration and meditation!

Well done Colin. I agree with you. Most of us are creatures of habit who count on certain routines. Routine, in itself, isn't bad -- unless it keeps us from God's best. When it comes to being available to God and going deeper in the things of God, I believe you're suggesting we have to be both flexible and intentional -- flexible to allow God's Spirit to interrupt our routines and intentional about following him even when he takes us down "the road less traveled." That also takes faith and trust -- I'm so glad we have a Comforter and Guide who walks with us and even ahead of us!

Comment on Jealousy: What do we need to learn? by Felicia Brown

I suppose I never really put much thought into this idea that God is jealous for us other than simply thinking that He wants all of us, this is good stuff. I remember a couple of years ago a very famous talk show host expressed her disdain when she read that God was jealous for her, but I suppose when we are determined to live "our" dream for our lives without regard to God's plans for us, we will have this attitude.

It is a blessing to know that God is zealous to guard me from sin which affords me the access to see him, for as the word says, without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Thanks Cindy!
